Thoa Nguyen, the woman responsible for the Pan-Asian cafe Chinoise on upper Queen Anne, Thoa’s (where Aragona is going in), The Islander (which pre-dated Thoa’s) and Wabi-Sabi Sushi Bar in Columbia City is expanding to the eastside. By mid-November, Nguyen is planning to open another Chinoise in the Grand Ridge Plaza (next to the IMAX theater). The new cafe will be open for happy hour, lunch and dinner. Hours of operation have already been added to the restaurant’s website. Meanwhile, Jason Stratton plans to officially open in the old Thoa’s space by early next month, so says Puget Sound Business Journal.
